Blower resistor

Hi -- I'm looking for the blower resistor in a 1991 Corolla 4wd wagon. How do I find the thing? From under the dash or from the engine bay? Any help mucho appreciated.

Thanks!

Don't know about blower "resistor". There is a blower "thermistor" shown in the service manual on the driver's side of the blower, which is under the dash and roughly behind the glove compartment.

The blower resistor is usually under the dash, sometimes bolted to the firewall. Follow the wires from the blower control switch or blower motor back to the resistor.

It's on the firewall on the engine compartment on some cars but I've seen it in/on in the heater core box in the Toyotas I've worked with. (Not many) Try looking for some wires to a plug into the heater core box. There may be one or two screws on either side of the plug/jack. Remove these and work the plug/jack housing out. The resistors are on the back side. On some they are wire wound resistors and others have the resistors in a 'ceramic' block. I think a 4 speed fan has 3 resistors. Anyway, I have no knowlege of your particular car. The above info is general and doesn't apply to every situation/vehicle.
