Corolla FX
I have an 88 FX, 1.6 2bbl sohc, would this be the 4alc engine, also who else here has the same car....i have more questions,,,

4A-LC? I think you mean a 4A-GE. That is if you do have a Corolla FX. It's a little hatch back thing that looks like this right?

No VP, you're thinking of the FX16. SOHC, 2BBL, sounds like the 4A-C to me.

LOL! Ya that's what I was thinking of. I thought there was a 16 after the FX but I thought I might be mixing it up with F16 fighter jet. My mind is warped.

AFAIk , the FX16 came out only with a 4A-GE.

actually the FX16 GT-S are the 4AG equipped ones, with 4 wheel discs. the base models have the SOHC motor (4AC).

Yeah, what he said.
Although there are some variations depending on which country you live in.
As far as I know though, FX16 GTS (US & Canada) is the only one equiped with the 4AGE.
