01 Corolla AC Panel Lights

Hi Everyone!

Can i get a Friendly "how to help" on

fixing the AC panel lights that have a false contact on them. When i turn on the lights at night i need to slightly bump the ac panel for it to light up. The Hayne's manual is a piece of shit when it comes to the interior of the car. I also would like to know what type of bulbs are the ones inside and how to change the color of the light output to red for it to match my red instrument panel and red cd deck.

Thanks

Question: Is there a way to replace the lights without removing the stereo?

man i was looking for this myself. i tried to twist one of the lights on my 06 corolla and i popped it. so now i just ordered 2 leds from ebay and now i gotta figure out how to attach them to the corolla base which isnt a regular wedge base. its a base were the wires go thru a hole and bend through a canal on the plastic piece. ill let you know how it goes.

btw they were called this on ebay " 2pcs 74 37 Instrument Panel LED "

^^Dont think you can. And its easier to move stereo. There are two grooves near the bottom the center console. Use a screwdriver to pop it off. Unscrew stereo from two screws on the sides. Pull it out and unplug wire. Ive taken it out many times. I can do it in 5 min flat but thats because I do it many times. It shouldnt take more than 10-15 minutes even if your going really slow.
