how to Reset engine light on 98 corolla

this light have been bugging me for years.. i have checked and everythign is fine on my car.. but the light just wont turn off.. i even pulled the fuse out for 10mins and put it back in... anyone got any clue?

unplug battery cables and let sit for a while- might work.

If your CEL Is on, its on because something is wrong. Try going to autozone they usually lend you an OBDII Reader to see what codes are stored on ur ECU. This will better help you in troubleshooting why the light is on. The OBD2 reader also clears your codes and shuts off your light. But if something's wrong the light will be back so the best bet is to find the prob.

Right. The light is on because a sensor is detecting a problem and lighting the CEL. Autozone is the quickest, cheapest option.
