Minor questions about the 97 corolla.

I have a few minor questions about my 97 corolla. I used the search feature and didn't find much so now i am making this thread.

Questions 1
I purchased the gauge faces ( the ones you see in my sig) a couple of years ago. During the installation, i took out all the bulbs from the back. I didn't really take much notice but my needles don't light up at all. I am guessing that the bulbs are responsible for the needles to light up as well. If it is true just confirm it for me. I don't wanna take it apart and waste fifteen minutes that could be well spent in the bathroom with a nice magazine.

Question 2
My 99 Camry has ( i am guessing) bigger speakers in the front door panels than my 97 Corolla. They sound a lot better. I am planning on making a Custom bracket for bigger speakers but i don't want to waste my time on that either unless someone can confirm that the bigger speakers sound good in the corolla as well. So anyone who can help me here, i wish you get laid tonight and have a nice threesome with twins.

Questions 3
I plan on Airconditioning the center console ( between the seats). I plan on doing this by using one of the opening under the passengerside seat and then allowing the cold air to go into the console ( from underneath). However i do not know where i can find something that will act as a pipe line from the vent to the console. I need something that will wrap around a vent ( cleanly, should not look ghetto).

Question 4
Yesterday something odd happened. I have had a remote starter on my car for a long long while. Yesterday afternoon i started the car via remote so the AC would cool it a bit before the car could get a chance to burn my body. When i drove off my lights were still blinking and the remote start did not shut off itself when i pressed the brakes. I turned the car off and started it back up with my key and it was all okay. Any reason why that may have happened?

Question 5
Both my 99 camry and 97 corolla have cloth seats. At this point the cloth is looking dirty despite my best efforts to keep them clean. Would you recemond any good shampoo/ fabric cleaner? or is it just better to go to Joan Fabrics, get the fabric of my choice and pay someone to make Custom seat covers?

Regarding the dirty seats, I had some that were filthy and reeked of smoke. I took the entire seats out of the car and used upholstery shampoo on the carpets below. Took the seats to a carwash and pressure washed them there with the wand. Then set them up in the sun to dry out. They look brand new now.

I tried to clean them with the spray cans we get, and brown stains started to appear. I don't know if it's stuff in the foam coming out or what, but i think i will consider pressure washing the seats as well. How long did it take your seats todry out completely?

Question 1: Yes - The bulbs are responsible for the needles lighting up - but the bulb responsible for lighting the needle also lights the guage - So you cant have one without the other...

Question 2: Yes they do sound better. I have Kenwood 6.5" Double cones in the front, and all i had to do was cut the plastic out a bit to fit - drill some new holes, and vioala, new speakers! Sound MUCH better now...

Q's 3,4&5 I have no answer to...

I got the brown stains too when I tried it that way. I think it just rearranges the dirt. I figured I didn't have anything to lose as they looked pretty bad.

They dried out overnight. That was in April. With the 100+ temps we're having now, it would be a matter of a few hours.
