Question Help!! 91 toyota won't start

One day we were just driving along and the car just suddenly turned off. It will turn over but it just won't spark!! We've changed the distributor, we've checked the timing belt, we've changed the ECU and the fuel pump does kick on when you try to start it so we know it's not that. Right now we're in the process of checking sensors and checking for faulty wires.

What other posibilities are there??

It's a 1991 Toyota Corolla DX 1.6 liter A4FE if that helps.

We really have know idea what else to try
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Jessi

Pull the distributor cap off and turn it over.

If the rotor does not go round and round ... broken timing chain/belt.

Otherwise I'dd look for a bad ground or faulty igniter.

but .. those are just guesses.

Are you getting any battery voltage at the distributor?

We've checked the timing belt and half the distributor is getting power and half of it's not. But, the only wire that doesn't light the tester up turns the fuel pump on. We're coming to the conclusion that it's the MAP sensor. Would that cause the car not to start? All I know is that the MAP sensor has to do with fuel delivery and ignition timing.

And I'm pretty sure my dad checked the ignitor before he had it towed back here but I'll have to recheck on that.

These are the components of the "Electronic Control System" of the 4AFE according to the terminology of the Service Manual:
Oxygen Sensor (Under the car at the end of the exhaust manifold)
Start Injector Time Switch (front driver's side of block, under distributor and between two hoses)
ISC Valve (passenger's side of throttle body-intake manifold assembly)
Vacuum Sensor (In engine compartment, top center of firewall)
Water Temp. Sensor
Check Connector (In engine compartment on driver's side near body around strut mount )
Intake Air Temp. Sensor (Plugs into the black plastic box that holds the air filter)
EFI Main relay (In the black plastic fuse box on the drivers side of engine compartment)
ECU (the computer, inside he car, at the bottom of the center console below cup holde, ash tray and that stuff)
Circuit open relay ( near the ECU, more toward the rear of the car )

We've tried everything above lol. The spark plugs are brand new too. We're having a mechanic come over to look at sometime soon and if he can't figure out then it's going to the junk yard. I hate to but i can't put any more money into this car. it only has 123k miles on it. I flipped it 2 years ago and i've put so much money into it already but I'm thinkin it's going to end up in the junk yard

thanks for all the suggestions though!!

The fuel pump is mentioned in the first post. It kicks on when we try to start the car and we can smell the gas. And we found the fuel pump wire and when we tested the wire the fuel pump would turn on so we're sure it's not that
