Would this be possible?

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a Corolla for a daily driver but I would also like for it to be a "fun" daily driver. My goal is to eventually get it to break into the 14's in the 1/4 mile and handle fairly well.

I've been looking a lot at the AE92 and don't really want anything older than that. Would this be possible? What would I have to do? How much do you think it would cost me?

Thanks!

easiest thing would be to buy a ford f350 turbo diesel - chip it and add propane injection. Then you can tow the 'rolla down the 1/4 in 14s ... not so sure about handling though.

The next easiest is a gze or 20v swap.

check the ultimate sticky or do a few searches you'll find what you need.

^^ If you got an F350 you could just stick the rolla in the tray couldnt you?

But in all seriousness - they are fun to drive, but will take a bit of work and alot of money to get them down to 14's. Not saying it cant be done though... As Rezzle said - Check the Ultimate sticky... heaps of great info in there!

LOL you could be right. I know from experience that a TE-72 uni-body fits in the back of a pickup.

A 20v could also see 14's if you do it properly.
ie. strip interior, good exhaust, good intake, very sticky tyres.

A gze will do the job even better.

My 93 prizm 5 speed with 111k miles, slipping clutch, original plugs/wires, 195/65/14s went 15.9 in the 1/4, there is hope.
