Alright, I was reading up on the 1ZZ-fe And 2ZZ-ge motors and was thinking, "Wonder if I can drop one of those motors in my GT-S?" So here's the question that I'm looking for input on, Can I drop a ZZ motor and tranny in my 90 GT-S? Or should I jus stick with the 20v blacktop swap that I've been saving up for? Input, insites, ideas, experinces? let me know. thanks.
20V swap will be more straight forward than a 2ZZGE swap, and it would cost you less. So if cost is an issue then stick to the 20V swap which will run you a nice amount as it is anyways.
so how much custom stuff are we talking? and i'm sure its much easier to obtain either ZZ motor bcuz there's a few 99+ corollas celicas and matrixes in the local junk yards. (how i love these kids who's parents buy them new cars b4 they can even drive ) which would you drop in it?, saying for example you had them both sitting in your garage.
...and about how much does a 20v swap cost? i could yank the 16v myself and drop in the 20v, its the wiring and other little things that have to be done where i'd b stuck at.
i've looked into the 20v and 3sgte and 4agze and all the other old school rolla and mr2 motors. i still haven't come across one with a zz motor in it. and there is no real easy swap. all swaps other than the 4age in a sr5 had some major wiring to do. and that 1zz motor is pretty quick in the new celica gt but i drove tha gts with the 2zz and it felt timid, but in the same sense it does redline at 7800 rather then the 6800 in the zz. but i heard the the 20v blacktop with the 6spd pushes 10k rpm? true? not true? and on the zz motor trd makes a pretty beefy supercharger. oh and one more thing, i got an idea from a freind....the scion tc motor.....?

All hail the almighty 2AZ!
It's easier to score one off a gen5+ Camry.
3S, 1ZZ/2ZZ, 2AZ, any of these swaps will require major fabrication especially with the ZZ layout where exhaust is at the back instead of the front.

Basically A series motors (20v's 4agze's etc.) will bolt strait to your existing engine mounts and gearbox. Any other motor will not.
Buy the way you are asking question I doubt you are actually going to do anything, so i'm not going to waste any more breath.
The reason I say this is because your obviously to lazy to do even a little bit of research on the web.
