Circuit Open relay click

The car runs fine and doesn't stall, but everytime I press the gas up pass 3k rpm and shift to the next gear, it clicks but still runs?! I adjusted the idle screw idle the car under 1k rpm and diagnose code is 1..Is the fuel pump dying?

What does clicks mean? Code 1 may mean “normal.”

fuel pump should be held on constantly with the COR..... if it's an auto then it may be shifting the trans (haven't dealt with an electronic auto and the COR).

if it's a manual... it shouldn't be clicking unless you have some sort of light that changes with the gears??? (no idea... you didn't mention car, year, trim, etc....)
