Question What is the HP difference of a Early 4AFE and a Late 4AFE?

I at one time had a 91 Corolla that had the AFM style 4AFE and now I have a 94 Prizm with a 93 MAP style 4AFE... The Power of this 93 motor seems a lot better than my old 91 4AFE motor. So what is the HP and Torque Spec's of the two different styles if anyone knows??

I, to say the least, Was surprised for how responsive the 93 motor was. I like it and think I might keep this car to replace my Celica as my daily driver??.. I originally bought it to sell...But..now I need to re-think...

You misunderstood. I said you have to replace the lower pulley and the tensioner for the one from the new head aswell as the timingbelt..

ooo thats not as bad as I thought then! since I thought you meant crank when you said bottom end. As for this idea goes for shoving them on our cars can we still use our stock manifold and carb? and does it still have the spot for the mechanical fuel pump on the head?

No place for a mechanical pump on the head (neither is with the old gen 4A-FE head) and no you cant use the stock mani and carb. mani is different.

then for now no head swap for me :p don't feel like making an intake manifold for it so I can stay with the carb since I don't feel like doing efi at the moment.

For NA power the 1st gen head sucks ass. Its ok for force induction as the intake runner angle isnt that important with FI as it is with NA.
The main reason is, on the 1st gen the intake runner angle is almost 90deg horizontal, which then takes a very narrow radiused turn to almost vertical. that turn creates alot of unnecessary turbulence. The newer gen head has a much steeper runner angle and less of a turn to the valve itself. Infact its almost directly straight to the valve.
Now... if you really wanna fool around... I have seen a 1st gen 4A-F head modded to hell so that the runners are almost vertical. Its not easy and you need to know how to weld alum and possibly use a CNC machine.
