Corolla clutch slave

Working on my daughter's 77 Corolla. When bleeding the clutch slave I found this. It appears that it is a drain of some type built in to the rubber boot on the slave. Has this been cut and is supposed to routed somewhere? Should it be plugged? Fluid squirts out when the pedal is depressed.

Thanks,
Lonnie

never heard or seen one with a drain on the slave cylinder

i would suggest just going to a parts store and ordering one.... they're less than $50 and easy to replace......

might want to check for clutch master cylinder leaks (back into the cab) while you're at it.... it tends to happen with older toyota's since the cast iron pieces get pitted from the brake fluid... toyota fitured this out and went to aluminum parts in later years....
