AE92 Finaaly bought an AE92... but im dissapointed

Ok well the actuall car itself is great overall but its kind of sad that there is almost no aftermarket support. I am in desperate need of stiffer shocks and thicker sway bars but i cant find anything!

can i please have some help finding the right suspension on a tight budget?
thanks!

btw AE92 GTS two door.

You're obviously not looking hard.

Shocks available:
KYB
Koni
Tokico

Swaybars available:
Whiteline (Australia)
TRD Japan (I got a rear one )

Springs available:
APEX (Europe)
Eibach
B+G
Suspension Techniques
Intrax
Ground Control (coilovers w/Eibach springs)

And probably more that I can't remember off hand . You just have to look harder, try Egay also as there's always stuff on there for sale. Is not that there is no aftermarket support, it's the fact that is hard to get some of the parts in North America, remember they're not Civics.

If you want a decent suspension on a tight budget, try going with KYB shocks and either APEX or B+G springs, the 88-89 Celica and 90-93 MR2 KYB AGX adjustable struts are a perfect fit for the AE92.

There is also Pedders over here for any struts or coilovers. But you do have to get them from over here.

There is plenty out there - you just need to find them...

You could do just springs, but your stock shocks will wear out faster...and they're prolly quite worn out already condsidering the age of AE92s. It's possible, but do yourself a favor and get new struts while you're at it.

AE92 GTS88, you just aren't looking hard enough for parts, on top of the suspension upgrades that REN mentioned, there's:

oh and one more question ren69: will the celica and mr2 shocks fit the ae92 perfectly on all four sides or is it like it needs the celica for the rear and mr2s in the front? You know like the ae86, the camaro shocks. Thanks btw

yea the thing that there's not a huge aftermarket for is the sr5 and sedan engine, poor little 4af and 4afe.

but yea how could you think there is no aftermarket for the ae92? espcially the engine, thats the great thing about the 4age the huge aftermarket, espcially since it's in a few cars. Ae86, ae92, prism gsi, and I think it was the nova but I can't remember the badge on it, ss?

well i only had the ae92 since 8/03/06 and i searched high and low for parts but no luck. I checked this one on the KYB GR2 and the Apex springs, I will order the rear Gr2s and the MR2 KYG AGXs in the front as a begginer set up. heh heh its noything like the 240.
