how much MPG does your AE92 get?

how much MPG does your AE92 get? ever since i bought the car the gauge never seems to go down. Is this right? The last owner told me it was full tank but i drove prolly about 100 miles since the 3rd of this month. and it barely went down? does this happen with any of your guys ae92?

or is kit broken

if its not this is the greatest car ever!

Full tank, it depends. I can drive for a week with a full tank, maybe a little more. I'd say City maybe 400km, Highway about 450km and that's with the premium-guzzling smallport. The bigport is a different story as it takes regular fuel, I used to put abot 525km per tank with that one when I was doing strictly highway.

The smallport is being a gas guzzler lately, I know the Cat converter is clogged for sure, already have a Magnaflow ready to be put in, which of course I think is the main reason why my fuel consumption is so bad right now.

I dropped in a 20v ST and I get about 27mpg in town, and around 33-35 on the highway.

Mine (89 slushbox tranny, A4-FE) gets about 26 around town. I roughly go about 240mi a tank before really worring about getting fuel. Keep in mind I also live in So. cal so I run the crappy eco-gas and sit in bumper to bumper traffic.

um.... to be quite honest for a while my girlfriend lived over 200 miles away.... and had to change through 3 different freeways and at least 2 or 3 speed limits.....

one of the freeways generally has people speeding like madmen since it's a desolate freeway.... i found out (and this was on several trips) that at 55-75mph or so i was getting around 30mpg.... and from 90-100mph i was getting around 40-45mpg.... just seems to be the right engine efficiency and vehicle aerodynamics combo for my ae92 (smallport 4age)

takes me 10 liters (1/4 tank) to go from here to the scarbrough meet(typically an hour and a half or so drive doing the speed limit). Doing 140 - 170 typically and at 140 I am doing 4000 rpm.

So I guess it's not all that bad

I agree with Thomas, the 4AGE seems to be happier at higher speeds, 120-140kmh in Canada at about 4000-4500rpm. Anything after that seems like it just guzzles that gas very fast.
