Whats the offet of your rims? Usually you want atleast a +38 offset.. Prolly you need a bit higher with the wider tires.

hitting the rear strut? sounds like a +42 offset, yea you should need a spacer for the rears and the fronts should be fine

get new rims... but if you insist on using the rims, get proper spacers and not use a bunch of washer to make spacers.. NOT SAFE!

Well, the problem is you not only need spacers, but now you need longer wheel studs. The wheel studs on the car are not long enough to work with the thin spacers that you need so you would have to also replace those. Any wheel studs from 80s Toyota trucks I believe will work.

It sounds like the wheel offset is too high, maybe even higher than +42. The OEM wheels are offset 39 on the GTS Corollas so anything 38 to 40 offset should fit, anything higher than that will most likely hit the struts like in your case, or anything lower will most likely rub the fender wells.

I agree with mike (microkp), get new rims with the right offset.
