No Ignition on 97 prizm

I cant seem to figure this one out. i replaced my motor as i froze it up. after installing it, im getting no spark at all. the motor turns over just fine, but gets no spark, i have replaced the distributor and ignitor, and verified that they both are getting power at the proper terminals, but still no fire. Whats the chance that the ECU went out?

Have you checked that the timing is at the right point? May seem like an elementary question, but if it's a rebuild, that is one of the first things that i'd check...

Yeah, that was one of the first things i checked. I have now swapped out everything electrical, i just did the ecu yesterday, still no spark. Im totally confused now.

I did however find that theres a sensor under the intake on the block thats not plugged in, and i cant seem to find the plug for it. Anyone know what this sensor is? Its located towards the front of the motor under the intake manifold right by the water pump piping. Any chance this is keeping it from firing?
