A/C Not blowing Cold Air
My wife's 2003 Corolla LE, with 58K miles, stopped blowing cold air the other day. She started the car and turned on the A/C. It did not blow cold air. She drove home and called me to let me know about it. I checked it out when I got home and turned on the car and then the A/C and it blew ice cold air. I then pressed the button for Recirculation to turn that off and the air was still cold. I waited a minute or two and then turned off the A/C button. Then the car started blowing hot air. I then pressed the button for the A/C and the compressor did not kick back on. I pressed the button for Recirculation and the car continued to blow hot air. I turned both off and obviously the result was hot air. I tried several times to get the air to blow cold and nothing seemed to work. I then checked the fuse panel under the hood looking for any that might be marked as A/C or compressor and found none. I also looked under the dash and could not find any fuses marked for A/C. Any help would be appreciated. I think the problem is either a fuse or the switch for the A/C however both the A/C button and the Recirculation button light up indicating power to the switch at least.
Thanks in advance for any help.
