Is it possible to install remote keyless entry for a 2005 Corolla CE?

Aftermarket? Sure. Factory? Might be a little more involved.

First question is, do you have factory power door locks?

Yes it is possible. Pretty simple if you already have power door locks. If you don't you will need to add solenoids to activate the door locks. When you research keyless entry or alarm kits it will show what extra parts you need if you don't already have power locks.

I already had power locks on mine and had a basic alarm system put in when I had my windows tinted. It isn't much of an alarm but it was only $100 installed and keyless entry kits were $70+ then I would have had to install that myself. An extra $30 was worth it to me.

Get an aftermarket one done, preferrably a well known brand. Most alarm systems come with the keyless entry capability and you'll end up paying less than what the dealership will charge.

I thought all 03-06 corollas with power locks also get keyless entry?

The CE models do not come with keyless entry. You have to purchase an aftermarket keyless entry kit or an alarm. If you don't already have power locks you will also need to purchase solenoids to work the locks.

Unless I am not understanding something, my 05 CE came with keyless entry from the factory. When I say keyless entry that is the little remote you get with the keys right?, got 2 with the car....as that is my interpretation of keyless entry. This is a Canadian car and I know we pay more for them but they also include more features...maybe this is one?

Smile Is it possible to install remote keyless entry for a 2005 Corolla CE?

My Corolla CE 05 came with two remotes, too, two buttons in front, lock and an unlock, and on the back a red button for panic, and the power door lock and unlock with the remotes.

sorry to ressurect this discussion - I am also confused about keyless entry. I have a 2005 Corolla LE and would also like to know if it's possible to have keyless entry (as in the car unlocks automatically when I approach it). Thank you!
