ok.... how about you actually answer the question in full there beemik.....

for the 4afe, 7afe, and 4age in FWD & mr2 layouts there are a variety of C series transmissions..... all C series transmissions have clutch/flywheel combinations in either 200mm or 212mm range.

The only difference between these setups (besides diameter) is the bolt pattern on the flywheel for the crank.

4afe and 7afe both have the same 6 bolt crank pattern.
4age's have a different 8 bolt crank pattern.

However, a "4age" clutch and pressure plate setup will bolt up to a 4afe/7afe flywheel. The pin locations are the same (given that you use a 200mm clutch setup with a 200mm flywheel.... a 212mm clutch setup on a 212mm flywheel). for the pressure plates.

so this means you can use any 200mm setup for a 4afe, 7afe, 4age on the flywheel you're using.

the starter ring gears are in the same location for either a 200mm or 212mm flywheel... so that isn't an issue.

To give you an example.... when i did my 4afe to 4age swap... i kept the same transmission, clutch, pressure plate, t/o bearing... but had to use a 200mm 4age flywheel to match it all up to the motor.

Great thanks. I was just looking for a clutch kit but i have since been thinking about using a light weight flyweel too to get some more hp to the tires. i haven't bought the clutch kit yet until i answered this question... I could use a 4age lightweight flywheel and clutch kit right. is that what your sayin? Thanks for the reply

No if you read it you will see a GE flywheel is 8 bolt your FE is 6 bolt, it won't fit. but a GE clutch will fit you FE flywheel.

and also.... you won't get more power to the wheels with a lightened flywheel..... the revs will be quicker from less rotating mass, however

i personally am not a huge fan of lightened flywheels (for daily driven cars)... known several people to have problems with them......

i would just rec a 200mm flywheel.... the 212mm is surprisingly lighter, but has more outer diameter rotating mass.... the smallport in my ae92 has a 200mm and that thing revs quicker than any 4ag i've seen
