i was wondering if n e body has thuoght bout dropping a 2jz into there ae101 or 102 and converting it 2 rw drive? talk bout an ultimate sleeper. and if it would even be possibel with enough $$$ or our engine bay 2 small

Yes its possible there are 2 ae101 levins racecars here both with 2jz's.

Budget was about $35,000 NZD. each for the conversion. (total build cost would have been more)

Not a simple project, and would be very difficult to get road legal.

converting the FWD chassis to RWD would take a lot of money though, definitely a sleeper but unless you got all the right parts and a nice deep wallet, then it would be just a dream.

any big engine would acomplish this problems are the steering rack needs to be moved you would have to scratch build a transmission tunnel, relocate the gas tank notch the frame and chassis for axel out the back scratch build a suspension. basically you better have alot of patience and a welder not to mention fabrication knowledge and abilities

This is not true with all fwd. I know the intrepid was meant to be a rwd so all you need is to add mounts since there is room for the tranny, driveshaft and rear end.

not true on the corolla's though so it won't be cheap as everyone said. I wish it wasn't such a huge deal since I really wish my ae92 was a rwd.
