New(ish) wheels (update)

Well I'd almost decided to get new wheels, untill I got a flat tyre. Having the wheel off gave me an idea.

So I took one of these.

Sanded it back, filed off the kerbing and painted it.

Then polished the lip

What you guys think, worth doing the other 3 wheels?

I like the one colour wheel.. I'm starting not too be a fan of shiny lips. I'm actually thinking of doing mine either All bronze or All gold OR black with red lips.

My gf said she likes the shiny lip with red spokes, since we came with me to the last meet and Derek (4AGE) showed up with his AE92 and the red Sparcos he got from Minesh (RedruM), so now she's got me thinking of that colour. Shit, too many colours in mind, I'll just sell them and get something that doesn't need a repaint instead some red GT3s come to mind.

Well I finally got another wheel painted and polished, so no I can do a before and after shot.

Before

And After

Also on a sad note I crashed my other Ae101, put it through a fence and did a fare bit of damage. So I thought it was only fare to go and buy another one.

The old one.

And the new "donor shell"

If I can track down someone to do some welding for me it'll be back onthe road in no time.

Very nice, the rims look great. I'm a little jealous you get coupe rollas, let alone you own three

i like the before look better. polished lips look nice and all, but only if the wheels are large enough. otherwise the wheels just look smaller to me

Maybe, but I'm happy with the way they came out, that and I can't bring myself to put more than 15" wheels on a 1600.
