Plug wires wont add to performance, use OEM plug wires, they're most controlled for resistance. Plus theres no sense changing wires if the resistance is still within spec.

I agree, bigger wires not = more performance.

OEM Toyota Wires or TRD wires FTW!

If the wires are old and in really bad shape, I guess upgrading them to a bigger wire couldn't hurt.

Spark plug overgapped .005 and 10mm wires might be good for 1-2 hp, nothing worth getting excited about, but it will get back some lost power if your stock wires are in terrible shape.

Gapping a plug and wires = 0hp addition. What people seize to understand is the reality that spark plugs dont add power. Its an either or deal, either the plug fires or it doesnt, certainly a missfiring plug wont give power, but fixing it isnt a modification that would increase power, beyond what it would if the plugs were firing.

If you don't have problem with it, its working. You'll notice hard start, bad idle and other issue when it start to go bad.

200,000+ miles is alot for a plug. Platinum plugs should be changed max 100,000km. Copper plugs I change them every year to few years.
