i was just sitting here and all of a sudden started thinking BS and crap

ok first of all, has anyone ever felt the air coming from the intercooler? meaning the turboed car is set up but it's just not connected to the throttle body through the intercooler and the intercooler is just sitting there, is the air really that cold? or is it warm?

second, cant you suck in your A/C air? maybe you can hook up the A/C to the turbo somehow and help with sucking in colder air. What do you guys think eh?

the air wouldn't be that hott out a disconnected intercooler because the turbo would just be gently pushing it through (no PSI) when its connected its compressing the air which is what makes it hott.

As for the A/C cooling down the charge, theres too much hott air too fast you would need a much larger A/C unit which draws power, you've prolly heard of N20 or CO2 intercooler sprayers too assist cooling the charge air

Well the intercooler cools the air charge depending on ambient temperature. Hotter the temp outside the less efficient it is. Secondly its not "cold", its "cooler" than the air from the turbo. Thirdly, cooling the air charge helps prevent detonation.

I dont see the point in that. those CO2 coolers would cool the surface of the IC promoting better heat transfer. Or so called "one-shot" system, where you cool the IC for one run. For daily driving, there really isnt a point in it.
