just to clarify,

1st gen 4AGZE: AW11, AFM, Distributor, Big port--- 145 hp
2nd gen 4AGZE: AE92 Levin GT-Z (early model), AFM, DLI ??? hp
3rd gen 4AGZE: AE92 Levin GT-Z (late model), MAP, DLI
4th gen 4AGZE: AE101 Levin GT-Z, MAP, DLI

3rd and 4th gen same engine. different color oil dipstick 165 hp ish
smallport. 7 rib main. oil squirters. different pulley set up for higher boost.. 10 psi i think.

like a high comp but with steel crank and forged pistons

There are 2 cranks for the 4age, the bluetop one, which has smaller bearings and the other one. Which was in everything including 4agze's and 20v's.

The only difference I know of is that the 20v cranks had lower manufacturing tolerances.

i never said we're cheap. i said importer's have that perception, not me. i know at least 3 importers and that's the information i get from them.

i've read that thread, i've been a lurker here for a while. no matter what brand of car you drive, there will always be the real hardcore car guys and there's always gonna be the "wanna-be"s. don't get me wrong, i never said that restorations are cheap, "owners" who want to be called restorers are cheap. i think the difference is covered on that thread as well.

the ae101 had more power because of the dual exhausts, other than that its pretty much the same as the kouki ae92 4agze.
