Im new here and was looking at a new 06 rolla, auto ce.
gas engines scare me i guess, because i dont know enough
about them.
Ive been driving vw diesels all my life and my curent one has r 535,000 miles on the orig motor, I BABY THAT THING !!
but now I want an auto tranny, but not in a diesel...bad
idea.....I sure hope that if i get this rolla it will at least do 300,000 plus, with poper care and the use of synthetics..
Any Thoughts out there ??

Cheapest in the long haul will be the Corolla. VW uses expensive parts and is known to have electrical gremlins as the car ages. The VW will, however, out handle the Corolla and be much more fun to drive with a bit more luxury on the inside.

I wouldn't be scared of a diesel with an auto, especially with a turbo. You just can't beat the torque from a diesel engine.
