USA Rebuilding 7AFE 1.8L DOHC 4cyl.

Ok, I am rebuilding the engine in our Corolla. When I received the rebuild kit I inspected all the parts it contained:
  • Pistons
  • Rings
  • Rod Bearings
  • Main Bearings
  • Thrust Bearings (some call Thrust Washers)
  • Oil Pump
  • Timing Belt
  • TB Tensioner
  • Gasket Kit
I never noticed that the thrust bearings were the wrong ones until last night when I went to put the block back together. Now, should I wait and put in new thrust bearings (could take over week to get them exchanged) or is it safe to use the onld ones? On the old ones I dont see any scarring, uneven wear, pitting, grooving, scoring. What should I do?

Are you measuring the clearances on any of these things? I think you can see if the old thrust washers are good by measuring the end play of the cranckshaft when they are installed.
