Question Where can I find the Wiring Diagrams for a 1986 4AGE??

I know this has been probabaly asked a hundred times but I can't find a very clear Wiring Diagram to help me figure out which wires Power the ECU and the other Ignition Parts.

I have a complete 1986 Blue Top Engine Harness, Distributor, Coil w/Igniter and ECU from a FX/16. The Harness has the two plugs that plug in to the ECU and go through the Firewall. None of those wires are cut but the 3rd plug that runs off to under the dash and I think to the Gauges and the ignition switchis cut about a 12" from the plug?

I just want to use what I have mentioned to get spark to the 4AGE motor I have as I have the Fuel part taken care of (Propane).

I did a Search on TN but didn't find what I was looking for so I thought maybe someone here would know where to go??

Thanks

on club4ag do NOT look through the forums.... you'll be wasting your time..... go through the technical pages and look for ECU pinouts....

Red top smallport or bigport?? if it's a smallport it might not work, you'll need the smallport ECU.

I have a Small Port Red Top. How or why would it not work? I am by no means an expert at this so if there is a problem I really want to avoid it. I only want to achieve spark. Nothing more.

Thanks

the AE86 had the Big port with TVIS, the Redtop small port is NON TVIS so the ECUs are different.

OK, But if I am Running a Special Intake for a Propane Carb and just wanting the Blue Top ECU, Harness, Distributor, etc etc... to control spark, won't that work?

I did this same sort of swap on my 85 Celica with a 22RE.

The Computer controlled spark and the Propane Carb ran the fuel.

It actually worked real well for an old motor.

I just am not an expert with wiring. I know there are certain things need to be connected to just get spark but I honestly don't know what those are. The celica was already an EFI car so I didn't need to do much.

Thanks

Ask Dr. Tweak, that is his specialty... wiring. Shoot him an email. He is on here lots too, but you can catch him for sure at phoenixtuning.com.
