Corolla or Matirx?

I'm debating between these two. We already have a Sienna that we're in when we're all together as a family (of 4). I need a car for me now..I'll be the main user about 90% of the time..but I need space also to haul my golf bag and golf push cart.

I know the Matrix can handle the job, but will the rear seats on the Corolla fold all the way down? I know the Matrix hasn't been around that long and I can remember the Corolla way back..

Both of those cars share the same powertrain, the Corolla's trunk is huge and will fit 2 golf bags and carts and a weeks supply of groceries...

The seats of the slow corollas (S and CE) fold down, the XRS does not because it has a huge X brace holding the chasis together which is one of the reasons it handles so well. The trunk is friggin huge though I can't imagine what you could not fit in it. If you are worried about cargo space get the matrix, if you are worried about handling get the Corolla XRS.

"Trunk"

And yes, the Corolla's trunk is very spacious, we had a Corolla S rental last year and it was a very nice ride.

I have a rolla LE 2006 and my back seats fold down. The trunk is huge. I have a cargo net in there now with stuf in it. I can still fit a wek supply of groceries and travel bags in there. Problly still have room left over.

ALso the car does not feel like a 16,000 dollar car. Feels much more expensive, looks more expensive. Will last 250K miles easily.
