i read somewhere that a guy did a 4E-FTE swap in a corolla 93 - 97 before. has anyone done this and if so, is it a difficult swap? i know going from e to a series requires some chassis mods, but going in reverse...how would that work?
i saw it under turbo searches and was curious how it went. just weighing all possibilities and uniqueness of set ups. i want an auto tranny 4agze, but no go so far....
I don't doubt its a capable motor, but for the trouble is not even worth it as the 4AGEs are a direct swap to the Corollas. If I wanted to go thru all this trouble, I would rather go with a 3SGTE swap.

hmm.. yes and no. i dunno where Atlantic Coast is, i'm assuming it's in the US. but in some parts of the world like Asia, they have Corollas running on E series motors, that'll be easier for them to swap a 4EFTE. if you have an A engine, yes go with the GZE.

no the 4EFTE won't be as much trouble as 3SGTE on a FWD Corolla. i know i guy who swapped a 3SGTE and a 4EFTE already. you don't need to worry about sapce with 4EFTE.
I f you plan to buy the 4E-FTE, TurboXS makes a few parts for that engine. 4agze would be better, just my opinion. I'm going the n/a route like a 4AGE 20v silvertop for example.

I've seen the 3SGTE in an AE92 already.. space? who needs it? For the trouble, be it little or lots, I still rather go with the 3SGTE than a 4EFTE as the 3SGTE will make more power and has more readily available parts.
For sure.. saw one the other day, you have about 2cm of space left between the firewall and the intake manifold.. Nothing a little banging won't solve.
