Does anyone have, or know where I can get detailed instructions on how to remove my 06' Corolla LE radio, pictures would be very helpful? I have treid once, but it feels like im going to break something so I gave up. just wan't to install an AUX adapter and don't feel like paying someone to do it, but I don't want to break my car either. Thanks

Going from memory so I hope this is right.

Pull up the plastic trim ring from around the shifter, starting from the back and working toward the front. You can leave the wires attached and just kinda lay it off to the side. Then take off the middle AC control knob and you will find a screw behind it. Remove that screw. Now you should be able to remove the big one piece trim from the radio/AC/storeage bins. Easiest to start from the bottom of that one and work you way up.
Now you should see 4 bolts holding the radio bracket in place. I used a 8" extension on the socket (10mm?) to get those out. Then the radio just slides out.

Everything goes right back together rather easily except for the antennae cable. I found it was a bit short and kinda tough to plug into the radio during installation.

So the radio, vest assemble slide out in one piece? Or do I have to remove the vent assembly first? Or does the radio slide out, an leave the vent assembly in the dash? Thats where I had issues last time I tried, because the vet assembly wouldn't come out.

Yes you can, after you remove the radio and vent assembly, then there are two clips on top and two clips on bottom of radio, and also there are like 6 total retainer things (dunno the name of them) around the radio to help hold the seembly to the radio, it is really simple, once you get the radio and vent assembly out, you will see what I am talking about.... Hope that helped ya

also when taking out the vent/radio assembly, there are some really tough clips on top of the assembly, may have a little trouble getting them off, but if you pull out the bottom a little and them push down those whould come loose no problem.....

If you are looking to replace with an aftermarket radio I highly recommend getting an adapter and wiring harness. It will come free with most radios from crutchfield.com. With a new radio you will also want new speakers. I ran with the stock speakers for a week while I waited for my speaker adapter to come in. The new stereo didn't really make the sound any better until I got the speakers installed.

be careful tho, if the bolts fall off, then will fall into the shift linkage area... it's a BITCH TO GET IT. You might want to put a rag on the bottom to catch them if they do. This was a stupid design for Toyota, in my opinion.
