4age swap question

i have a 88 corolla seden with the 4a-f motor carburated.... i was wondering if its possible to swap a 4age or 4agze motor into this car? i mean the engine bay from the coupe and seden are the same or looks the same. im probelly gonna just stick to the stock 4age instead of the 4agze but im more concerned about just getting the motor put into the car and if the 4a-f transmission will fit the 4age motor.
ohh and if the manifolds will fit the motor?

Thats sort of right right. The motor will fit into the mounts without modification, will mate to any C-series manual or A-series Auto box, but the F(E) manifold will not fit the GE head...

With Toyota, the answer as to what will "fit" my car lies in the motor code, your car has an A-Series motor, as in 4"A"F so if you want to swap a motor in your car, anything with an "A" as the second digit in the motor code will fit.

Also the 4AGZE comes with an E-series transmission (E53 or E58, can't remember) which is a beefier transmission able to handle the extra torque that the motor puts out. The "C" series transmissions "will" fit the 4AGZE BUT depending on how you treat it, you may or may not blow it quick.

c150 - Fitted to 2e-elu (and other lower spec models) EP71 Starlets.
They ran from nov 1984 through to late 1990 I believe although on the lower spec EP80's I think the same box is used.

c152 - Fitted to 2e-telu (Turbo S Version) EP71 starlets. Slightly different ratios and they have a slightly stronger input shaft. There are some slight casing changes.
Both the c150 and c152 come non-lsd although one can be fitted. As far as I'm aware only TRD make these and they may be discontinued.
c52 - Fitted to 4e-fte (GT) EP82 starlets. Much stronger than the c15x's listed above, larger diff and gearsets. Very similar to 4age c52 internally although do have a different final drive ratio and casings. The bellhousing for example is a fair bit different.
Thanks to everyone that helped.

Yep, good info. The C50, C52 and C56 should be direct fits, I believe the C59 from the 1ZZ motors is a liittle different around the bellhousing, but don't quote me on this.
