Key getting stuck.

When I'm done driving and go to take my key out, it tends to get stuck. This is something that has only started happening this week. It's been getting worse over time, and now when the key does come out it's covered in some kind of oil. It happens every time I park the car, so it's not just a one time thing. Any ideas as to what's up?

i would say the waffers in the lock cylinder are jamming up you can try to free them with some sort of oil but i would say the cylinder will seize up given a little time then you'll have to call a lock smith....

if it starts to not wanna turn and be a PITA then get it into ACC position and remove the cylinder by pushing up on the lock pin (under dash in the bottom of the aluminum housing) then pulling out BTW it will only work in the ACC position, if it gets stuck anywhere else you'll have to drill the hardened pin out of the surrounding aluminum!

Dry getting yourself some wet-lube for lock barrels. It sounds like the pins are locking up. Dont try to use WD40 or 5-56 (or similar) as this will dry up and you'll end up with the same problem in a few months.

Speak to a local locksmith and ask them what they use to lube lock barrels...
