ST 20v here. No major mods as yet, because i have spent the last 6 months trying to get the thing working again. Was looking at getting trumpets, but i'd have to swap to a map system, and it starts to get complicated then...

Haven't done any mods to my BT myself but plan to in the near future... 20v are very popular here in Barbados but the newer 2zz-ge powered cars seem to be taking over. I got a point to prove all in due time... Any mods or plans you guys have & are willing to share feel free...

What have you got planned?

I have two options i am looking at if the car doesnt get sold. I am tossing up between the two.

The first and my favourite, which i am sort of in the planning stages is a twincharge setup. Running a Remote-mounted Turbo on the rear end behind the Fuel tank, coupled with a TRD Supercharger with Electronic clutch running thru one-way valves so effectively only one is boosting at a time. Will need also: Low comp forged pistons (looking at 8.0:1 from the GZE, slightly bigger cams to compensate, and much bigger injectors. ST already has balanced bottom end so wont need to worry about that. Top mount intercooler for the SC (RMT wont need to be intercooled) and standalone ECU to handle both. Big project i know, but it will be unique if i can pull it off.

The second is the fairly standard mod schedule: Hi comp 11.5:1 overbored (89mm) forged pistons, aggressive cams (probably 256 or 262) along with new valve springs (.9 to 1.0 lift), new cam gears (although this will remove the VVT), angled valve job, port & polish (only cause it will be the only thing left), 250-300cc injectors and finally a standalone ECU to top it off. This way it all looks like standard equipment, but goes like buggery when you put your foot down.

Either way too, i will be ditching the old plunem in favour of a custom built direct piped CAI to incorporate the AFM. In some ways i am dreaming with the twin-charge, but it would be unique if it goes ahead...

I've got 2 ST20v's both in ae101 coupes.

Both standard, and will probably stay that way. The silvertop has more than enough power for me to enjoy myself, and its definatly not a cost effective drag machine.

All I've changed so far is springs, rims, tyres, and brakes. Its now reasonably capable around the track and heaps of fun at short sprint events (hill climbs, bent sprints etc.).

I have a BT with c56 in my AE92. I'm thinking about getting a proper cat-back system, buying the Fujitsubo Super Ex. manifold. Improve inlet, at the moment the air gets too hot. Thinking about switching to aftermarket ECU, though not sure about which one...
I'll be happy with anything above 160bhp

I currently run a Silvertop 20V Turbo in my car in RWD configuration.
The engine is pretty modded, cams pistons etc etc.

Last run on the dyno was 276hp at the wheels at 18 psi boost.
Have had a turbo upgrade since then and it fells better up top,
but have not been back to the dyno since then.

Also have a Blacktop head and a 7A block in progess of being built to gain even more power.

Matt
