I just acquired a used 7a-fe for my '95 for $175. since im gonna rebuild the entire engine so ill get more power and maybe put no more than 8psi to it, what else would i have to upgrade so i dont break anything? and btw my car is auto and i plan to keep it that way. but curious as to how much hp my drivetrain can handle, thanx

There was someone on the board before who owned either a Turboed 4AFE or 7AFE with an automatic transmission, his car was basically just as fast as Aaron's 4AGZE powered AE102 sedan. What was his name??

Either way, do a search on the board for "turbo 4afe" or "turbo 7afe" and see what comes up.

That was Sam's car. He was pushing 15psi before a rod gave out. He did dump a ton of cash into the transmission to help it withstand the abuse though. That thing launched like there was no tomorrow!

What exactly did he do to bulk up the transmission, do you know? It's going to be an issue when I go to 7AGTE.

I never really bothered to find out what he did. IIRC, he got everything done by Level Ten in Jersey.
