Random seisures.

Alo, about 3 weeks ago I was driving along when I lost all power in the engine, pulled over and rolled to a stop, RACV came out and towed it back home where I got a home mechanic to have a look at it.

It turns out that I snapped the timing belt and bent valves, cracked pistons etc. He also did a full service, resulting in the Head being taken off and rebuilt, the Radiator being completely flushed and all filters etc. being replaced. He said the car would run better...

Not only is it ALOT slower, receiving lag 2nd through 4th and have considerable power loss all the way through 4th at even 60K's.
My main problem is after i've driven it and turn it off quickly after stopping, it seizes. I lose complete power, such loss that my central locking doesn't work either. When I attempt to try to turn the car back on, it doesn't turn over, just clicks. It seems I have to pop the hood and mess with the Battery until I get power and then Disarm the Alarm in it to get it started.

Any ideas of what this could be?

if it was a 4AFE or 4AGE motor then you might have gotten ripped off, they're non-interferance, which basically means you can snap a timing belt without killing the motor.

But yeah, what motor, year, model was it??
