'01 engine cover retainer clips

Ok... So we went to change the drivebelt on my '01 Prizm today, and we decided to pull the engine cover off in order to get a better look at the tensioner boss... Well, while lifting it up a little while trying to figure out how to get the stupid back retainer clips off the tops of both snapped off.

Any ideas where to get new ones? I'm guessing a Toyota dealer would probably just have some?

And, umm, how is that you're actually supposed to remove the damn things without breaking them? :p

To answer my own question...

I replaced them with 6mm x 1mm bolts. I guess that's what most people do.

Do they ever not break? Heh.
