1993

Hey whats going on, new to the forum but i have a question or 2. I've got a 1993 1.6L corolla, 5 speed under 100k on it and it runs great. It runs slow great that is...anything i can do to the damn thing aside from engine swap that could add some power to it. Money is a concern, if i could buy a fast car i would have. But is there anything i can do to it for a few hundred that could add some power. I already put an intake on it which added about 7-10hp but im haveing a tough time finding other performance parts...Thanks

7-10hp, you're dreaming dude.. 2-3max hp if you're lucky. I'd say upgrade your exhaust, get yourself a set of headers (I'd stay away from Paceshitter), a decent exhaust and a highflow cat. Other than that, your best bet is turbocharging, but that's when money becomes an issue. The reason why you're having a tough time finding parts is because there aren't really many for that motor. get it custom done, go to an exhaust shop and get a custom exhaust built for your car. As for headers, Paceshitter.. I mean Pacesetter makes them, they won't be the best quality you can find, but at least they're something.

As for a high flow cat, go to an exhaust shop and ask for a Magnaflow cat dude.. crap! everyone buys their stuff online now a days, pretty soon we'll all be buying underwear online.
