1990 Corolla Fuel guage and temp guage not working

1990 Corolla when the car is turned on the fuel guage and temp guage both slowly go up all the way.. in other words they aren't correct.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I checked the fuses under the hood and they appear fine. What should I try next?

Thanks for any suggestions.

It sounds like the gauge is grounding out. Have you done any mods to the vehicle?

on the back of the guage for one. You can do a continuity check as well. If you dont know how, I would suggest you actually have someone show you from one of your local shops, or a friend that knows a bit about basic electronics.
