Question will a 93-97 4AFE work in a 90 Corolla??

I bought a 1990 4dr Corolla with an Out-of-Rhythm Percussion Player in the Engine (lower end Rod Knock).. I need to swap the motor and find very good deals on 93-97 JDM 4AFE Motors but the 90-92 4AFE's cost about $200 more?? Can I replace a 1990 4AFE with a 93-97 4AFE?? I need to get this car on the road for the least amount needed. Anyone know if I can make this work? Thanks

Doesnt matter really, he can most likely use the sensors and stuff from his old engine.

Well, Know I wound have to use the Intake manifold as the Bolt pattern is completely different. Plus the Injectors are in the Intake rather than in the Head like on the 90 4AFE. But I thought if the Distributors were the same or at least interchangeable I could work the other stuff out. I just wanted to know if anyone had actually done this or knew someone that had so I could get one of those motors next week??

Thanks

Injectors should fit into the intake manifold. Nippon Denso injectors are the same.
