Does anyone have those diagnostic cables to check why the check engine light is on. IT came on again last night and I'd like to get it fixed.

Plus, what are the symptoms for getting a tune up?
I bought my car in February and I was thinking of getting one.
(and if you can refer a place to get it done, that'll be cool!!!)

If you turn the key from the off position to the on position, 2 or 3 times (not sure about toyota) the check engine light will go through a series of flashes. count the blinks from each series (ie.. 2 then 4 then 1) then reference a code book. It's the book that you need or maybe in the user manual... not really sure about that.

I'll try that.
The manual shows you how to jump the diagnosis box which will give you the same results.
