Canada Replacing Brakes

I have a 2003 Corolla LE. I was wondering what brake pads and rotors are cheap but does the job?

And where is a good place to get rotors and pads?

Thanks.

Are you looking for a good parts place on the web to order from? Or are you looking in your local area? Are you looking for OEM parts or performance brake parts?

I'm looking for a brake part store either online or somewhere in the Toronto, Ontario area.

Not looking for performance and not really looking for OEM, just reliable pads and rotors priced right.

try www.etopline.net they seem to have good stuff at good prices i love my PBR pads and SR rotors!

Just watch it as the prices are in USD, they are located off kennedy road on nantucket in scarborough. If you phone an order in they will have it ready for pickup usually the next day!

Has any one dealt with http://www.etopline.net/ before?

I'm wondering about the quality of their brakes? Their prices are quite good.

A bit of caution, you get what you paid for. I twice used cheap pads (semi-metalic) on cheap rotors. Both times, noisy as hell and uneven rotors in relatively short time. I drive roughly 35k miles a year though. I thoroughly clean my calipers too before pushing the piston in, so they are clean as new or replaced. I take extra care when doing brakes.

This time I had the same cheap rotors turned again (plenty left in them they said). But this time I followed some advice and used ceramic pads. This turned out to be the best choice, 6 months later these pads and rotors are silent and smooth.

Long story short, choose your pads wisely, unless you like changing them often and sounding like a frieght train. The tiny bit extra pays well. I aquired my last pads from autozone locally.

For reference, this is a 2001 Corolla S. 136k HARD miles and running smooth. Good luck and be nice to your Toyota

I have brakes from summitracing.com. They carry brake pads from a series called the VGX series. They have aluminum shims, which makes them virtually silent and they are fairly inexpensive. They make absolutely no noise, and will stop on a dime.
