Has anyone had their fog lamps turn reddish-brown?
A little background info... I have an 2001 LE I'm working on converting to a Sport. About 5 months ago, I bought the OEM fog lights, got the relay and the new switch, and installed them. I put some PIAA Spark Blue H3's in them.
Now, 5 months later, they're BOTH getting this reddish color on the inside of the glass just off to the outside of where the bulb is. At first I thought it was just the driver's side lamp because it was hit by a rock and developed a crack, but it's doing it on both of them.
What could possibly cause this being that I've only had them in for about 5 months? Has anyone else had this problem? It can't be the bulbs can it? Please help me. I ordered some more fog lamps and I really would like to figure this out before I install them.
Thanks in advance,
Halo
P.S. Not sure if this could be it, but I bought the X-Pel headlamp protector kit, so I have protectors on my headlamps, corners, and fog lamps. I have had the headlamp protectors on for almost two years on my old ones and didn't have this problem, but maybe the difference is the headlamps are made of plastic and the fog lamps are glass...?? Any ideas?
