Canada Slow SR5

I have a 1989 corolla sr5 and i need to get more power out of it. I have been searching around online looking for parts that fit my car. I'm looking for an exhaust manifold, exhaust, carb, and anything else I can get for more performance. I want to be able to step on the gas and not have so much hesitation before the car takes off. Also what can I do for an air intake? Having a carb. seems to limit that also. Thanx for the help.

You can find headers for your motor, Pacesetter makes one. As for exhaust you can get one custom done at any shop but the gains won't be big. Carbs, not sure but I think Flashmn can help on that, he's done some carb swaps to his car.

Did you do a tune-up on the car first?

Hesitation upon stepping the accel pedal sounds like a problem, fitting bigger exhuasts/intake might worsen the situation

Is the car standard or auto? Got cruise control? Try tightening the throttle cable if there is too much slack.
