New 2 toyotas but own an 86 SR5, need help

I have a Corolla SR5 coupe(auto) and now want to modify it. Here's the thing, the motor's no good. Can I use a twin cam engine without modifications to the tranny or will i have to get another single cam? Also, I am interested in tuning the suspension, body, brakes, and of course the engine. can anyone give me the names of RESPECTABLE tuners. thanx.

To the tranny, no mods, but unless you go and convert the twincam to carbs or something, you'll have to do some work in the fuel system.

i say get a GTS! by the time you do all the conversion on it, you gonna waste so much money,

the suspension on SR5 and GTS is different, and most likey when you're gonna do a suspension upgrade, you gonna probably install the GTS suspension....

if this car is not your daily driver, what you can do is purchase another GTS and swap all the parts on to the better condition SR5 body... but also heard that GTS body is lot more firm then SR5 cuz its been reinforced with spot welding...
