realistically, there are gains I'd say 1-5hp but it would really depend on the car. I'm thinking of dynoing my car before I install my KBD header and Magnaflow cat to see how much power I actually gained after.
I love muscle cars and when they put headers on their car it uncorks some serious power.
Thats because their manifold design SUCKS ASS. Toyota manifolds are actually quite generous. V8's have one thing tho, they got big ass valves, plus their heads are very easy to modify.
I keep forgeting one thing. Power is in the heads. On my camaro, the exhaust were literally logs bolted to the exhaust ports. Horrible design. The stock Corolla exhaust manfiold has big openings and smooth transition to the downpipe
since i just put a APC intake, im just gonna do a muffler 4 now cause i dunt have the money 2 do a cat bak. but is it true that if u change the ecu in the car it voids the worrenty or sumshyt like that.?
i like the ebay header on my car (different engine i know), it feels like its gained me power abover 3500rpm, its pretty noitcable. the tach moves from 4000 to 5600 much faster than it did before and i can feel a pull. what that translates on a dyno...well its probably not that much.
the 1zzfe manifold is pretty good, you can smooth the + at the bottom a bit and port match it to the head better, but from the factory it is well made.
