Aftermarket Fuel Cells? Gas Tank Repair? Or should we start a Groupbuy on OE Tanks?

I have a minor leak on the gas tank and it seems a lot of Toyotanation members have the same problem. Is there any viably cheap methods of fixing these minor leaks? Should we look at getting Fuel Cells as an alternative?

Any Experience and knowledge shared would be gladly appreciated... especially those who have gone thru the getting repair service (restoration) done to their tanks.

fuel cells won't be an alternative unless you have the cash

Coating

Gas Tank Renu LTD.

I had my tank coated in polyurathane over a year ago. This guy gives a lifetime Garuntee with their work. It will never leak again... and it's about the price of a new OEM tank... maybe a little less... they did the filler neck too.

Might as well buy a new one

Well, it is a part that store chemical that is explosive and poisonous. I would suggest getting a new one. I need a new one too, so I'm all for starting a groupbuy on new gas tank

jover, there's no point getting a fuel cell, although the idea is super cool.. but you would need a special fuel pump to use with a fuel cell among other things to do the install and sending the fuel.. and a 30 gallon (if i remember correctly) is well over the price for a rebuilt or reman oem gas tank, you'll end up paying for more than one oem one if you were to go with the fuel cell route. and at the end, you won't have the trunk space if you were to use a fuel cell

I just got a new sender unit for my tank ( found a leak in the old one) but now it still leaks. I know the leak is near the top of the tank. could still be my filler neck. I'd be interested in a group buy, but I also want to check out wunderboys suggestion.
you cant beat lifetime garuantee.

anything over 12 gallons is overkill.
