Are you having trouble removing the cv axle from the transmission or the back of the hub?
What year/model is the car?

a long screwdriver and pry against the axle and trans case, it'll pop out.

there should be! its probably in the trans case, just use a flatblade to pry the old seal out and then install the new seal with a seal installer.

when i did my axles my old seals looked just fine so i didnt replace them. no leaks so far!

The end of the drive shaft inside the differential has a spring clip holding the shaft in. There might be a location on the inboard CV joint body where you can place the end of a pry bar. The axle will need to be pried out. It is almost like popping the axle shaft out. Don’t pull on the axle; this will most likely just result in the CV joint pulling apart.
