noob lookin for an FAQ? or general info?

i tried using seach to find a faq or some info, but maybe im not using the right keywords......at any rate, my first question is about these codes ( AE86 , Ae92, etc) being used - what do they mean, lol? i assume there are chassis/platform codes, so which code would apply to my 1990 corolla 4door sedan?

ill try not to ask questions that have already been asked, but first i gotta know which info applies to me.

Those are platform codes man, AE86 was the Corolla generation from 1984 to 1987, AE92 was from 1988-1991/1992. The coupes ended production in 1991, the 4 door sedans continued until 1992.
Your 90 sedan would be an AE92.
