Push button on hazards and all 4 corners light but don't blink. Blinkers will not do anything. I have changed all relays/blinker switches I can find under the kick panel, put in another hazard switch for good measure(had an extra) checked power at fuse box. Fuse is getting power on both sides (fuse #10/10 amp) and non-at what I assume to be the blinker relay (the one on the fuse box) I see the fuel pump relay up above and did'nt change that but did change the blinker right below it. Horn Hazard fuse under hood is good. Only other thing I can think of is turn signal actuator arm on column. (there is some crazy things go on when combining hazard/and a blinker, like the door ajar bell going off and oil pressure light coming on) Sounds like a bad ground in actuator maybe. Anybody agree. I ask because I'd like some input before buying parts to throw at it. Like I say I can't find power after 10 amp fuse. But do have it on both sides of the fuse
Bueller? After checking it some more at lunch today I find. Hazard power going to Flasher Relay under dash no blinker power. Constant power at Hazard fuse under hood and all 4 corners lit. I was mistaken in that the taillight relay is NOT a second blinker relay as I had read somewhere. Nobody has an idea where to start? It's NOT the cobo. switch as I changed that today. When I got the car someone had tried to jack the radio but did'nt tear up any wires that I could tell BUT flasher switch was busted. More on the combination of putting on the hazards, seeing both arrows on the instrument panel light and stay on, and hitting the linker arm/even with out the key in the ignition. THE HEATER RELAY CLICKS! I know it sounds FUBAR but I have pulled out the dash and been over the wires pretty close and find no short. Anybody ever had a fuse box short inside?

I dunno, I swapped it with one from a junker. I guess it must have a flasher type relay built into it too then huh? When I turn on flashers all 4 corners light and stay on constant.
They stay on constant? Ok the is the hazzard switch I am almost sure of that......
So but the each direcitonal still doesnt work?

Yes turn on Hazards and all 4 corners stay on constant. Try to use blinker and ....nothing anywhere. Not dash or corners. And if you use both together the heater relay clicks. Whitch may have nothing to do with anything and the brake/ seatbelt door chime starts. I think it's just bleed through from a bad something or another. I've been over every inch of wire under the dash and find no cuts or splices (for alarm or anything) dash is all torn out. All for a bad turn signal. Sheesh. Why do I always get the oddball problems with the cars?
changed already. Only palce I can think of a short would be in the fuse box itself I've been all up and down the wires. I'm going to borrow a blinker switch from a buddy tonight that I KNOW works before I pull out the fuse box AGAIN!!! I looked in once and thought it looked ok (no obvious burn-outs) but I really do not find a short. I thought I would. Someone tried to steal the radio and broke the switch is what started all this so I thought for sure I'd find a cut wire. I replaced switch from a junker and still stuck. radio works fine. Extra power block in there (by radio) is I guess for clock?
Ok removed all tape and loom wrap today and checked every inch of under dash wire. Nothing. Does anyone know if the very basic computer for the feedback carb grounds everything maybe? I ask because I'm at wits end. I had extra car so I replaced )fuse block, A/C fan switchblinker combo switch, hazard switch and flasher relay and the switch under the pass. side dash above evap. cover. I did those things because I know (????) something is commonly grounding or bleeding back. When hazards are on(constant, not blinking) and fan is on(key OUT of ignition. When turning on blinker, door ajar bell starts, dash light come on and fan starts blowing. BUT I CANNOT FIND A BAD WIRE. At least not under the dash Should I look toward the computer or under the hood I looked at as many grounds as I could find under dash.
I honestly don't know but I did'nt change them and the previous owner was'nt trying to improve anything, just keep it going. Turns out the prev. lives a few blocks away (got his name off title and looked it up) He said everything was fine (lights wise)when he abandoned it. (engine melted down) He said he did'nt remember if he put on flashers or not that night he left it but knew he was'nt coming back for it so probaly not. I sent an e-mail to the resident elec guy but I know it's hard for him to try to pinpoint over the phone. He'll prob. be able to suggest checking for good ground etc. I'm curious as to the electricity out of flasher relay. I get juice going in only when flashers are on (lights constant) no juice on the other 2 wires at any time. Should'nt they be blinking (power flashing on test light)? Seems like they should but I even took my G/Fs relay(that works) and also put mine in her car (it worked) I'm stumped I know it would be better if I was good at diagrams but never was much good at elec. work and drawings never helped me much (just don't have the "take it all in" capacity)I can follow one wire but have trouble keeping in mind the whole system.
