Lightbulb HIR and DRL

One of my low beam bulbs burnt out the other day and I am considering
spending the money for HIR bulbs, but want to know how long I should expect them to last with my DRL's? I don't want to spend $27 a bulb only to have the DRL's chew them up in 3 or 4 months.

Also, I don't want to disable my DRL's

HIR?? are you sure you don't mean HIDs?

If you want to run HID's without disabling the DRLs you can, you'll just burn out your bulbs quicker, most likely 6 months or so.

I didn't mean HID, I know that those require you to disable the DRL. I am talking about the HIR Bubls ... This forum has a write up on them http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=954736 I was going to get them through http://www.danielsternlighting.com/

Wow, that's a nice write up!

I see what you mean now, I think if they use less power than the HID lights do, they "might" just last longer. I personally don't know or have heard of anyone using HIR lights on their ride. Post on the General Discussion forum to see if anyone with other Toyotas may have.
