USA Engine braking

I have 04 Corolla S manual

and I read it somewhere about ECU fuel cut-off

Is it bad for the car?

cuz I do that everytime when i'm about to stop at the light or going down the hill.

I got my car last december and it was little less than 16000

it's certified vehicle and only had 16000 miles
